work selected for rps summer exhibition
I’ve had some work selected for the The Royal Photographic Society Summer Exhibition in Bristol. I’m very fortunate to have two photographs in the show:
Nathan (below left), from my self-funded social documentary and portrait series with the Westhoughton Tower Bellringers.
Katie (below right), from my Howfen Spaces socially engaged micro commission with Open Eye Gallery.
I’m particularly pleased that socially engaged and social documentary work has been recognised and chosen for display.
3500 images were submitted from over 817 members, with only 80 photographs selected for the exhibition. Judges included RPS Staff, Simon Hill HonFRPS, Sarah Dow ARPS, Benedict Brain ARPS, Kathleen Morgan, Frederic Aranda FRPS and Carolyn Mendelsohn.
The RPS Summer Exhibition is an exhibition showcasing photography by members of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS). It will reflect a diverse range of photographic styles, genres, and techniques including analogue, digital and experimental image making and covering subjects including landscapes, portraits, documentary, science and fine art.
Open: 1 July to 28 August 2023
